Year 2011 saw
an year of total mayhem and hope too. Where the
rates of gold & silver hit the sky, the market saw
an upliftment in the rates nation wide too.
Waving through the mayhem India and specially
Ludhiana hosiery saw the rise in the cotton rates.
Labor shortage and various factors resulting in the
backdrop in the hosiery but in January the sales
rose to benchmark of 40% in winter. Rising rate hit
the investment in the market, in the second quarter
then the contamination of water in the Budha Nalha
became the major concern.
In nutshell, Ludhiana hosiery has always been a
survivor and has convicted troubles into
opportunities, besides this Industry getting more
organized with more expansions and investments are
likely to be seen in near future. Therefore as
always in the last 17 year we at “Hosiery & Textile
Journal” a bi-monthly magazine are back with our
18th exhibition `Knitworld'. At Knitworld we try our
hardest to give the very best to the industry and we
believe that some where we have achieved the same
therefore we are here. And as it goes, we don't need
to define the exhibition now because the sheer
patronage of the industries as whole and well wishes
has made Knitworld has its own meaning in itself so
hoping the same from all of the readers, as well as
best wishers, our friends. We present you a new
edition in the series of Knitworld the 18th buyer
